Singapore U23 has many players with Covid-19
Singapore U23 lost its forces before the opening match against Thailand in the group stage of the U23 Southeast Asian Championship.
Before the first match of Group C against Thailand on the afternoon of February 16, a spokesman for the Singapore Football Association said that three players of this country's U23 team had Covid-19, according to the Straits Times.
The identities of the three players were not disclosed. The entire Singapore U23 team is being closely monitored.

Previously, Singapore U23 announced the list of 24 players participating in the U23 Southeast Asian Championship. But before the flight to Cambodia, 4 players tested positive and had to stay in their hometown for treatment, including Irfan Najeeb, Daniel Goh, Zikos Chua and Khairin Nadim.
The four players above will move to Cambodia after recovering from illness. In addition, defender Nur Adam Abdullah was left out of the squad because of a right knee ligament injury during practice.
At the 2022 AFF U23 tournament, Singapore is in Group C with Thailand and Vietnam. They will meet Thailand at 19:00 on February 16, and then face U23 Vietnam on February 19.
The Covid-19 epidemic is seriously affecting the schedule and tournament plans. On February 15, Myanmar U23 asked to withdraw at the last minute because many players had Covid-19. They went to Cambodia, but not enough players signed up for the match against Malaysia.
Previously, the defending champion Indonesia also asked to withdraw from the tournament when 7 players were infected with nCoV and some players were injured.
After Indonesia and Myanmar U23 withdrew, Group B had 2 U23 teams Malaysia and Laos. According to the regulations, the three group winners and the best second-place team will advance to the semi-finals, only the results between the first and second teams of the group will be counted.
